About McHappy Day

Taking place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, McHappy Day is McDonald’s largest fundraising day of the year and one of the most meaningful days for families at Ronald McDonald House Toronto.

McDonald’s Canada is our Founding & Forever Partner, and their support makes a lasting impact on the families we serve. Funds raised on McHappy Day, along with year‑round support through Round Up, Happy Meals, Caring Cookies, kiosks, and coin boxes, help ensure families can stay together through complex, life-saving medical journeys.

Since its inception in 1977, McHappy Day has supported hundreds of thousands of families across Canada. On McHappy Day, a portion of proceeds from every food and beverage item sold — at McDonald’s restaurants across Canada, all day long — supports programs and services at Ronald McDonald House Chapters nationwide.

Last year alone, McHappy Day raised over $1.4 million for Ronald McDonald House Toronto, providing the equivalent of 6,140 nights of comfort for families with seriously ill children.

By providing families with a place to stay, nutritious meals, laundry facilities and a community of support, they receive the care they need and save up to $20,000 over a month’s stay.

Order Your Faves

On May 6, a portion of proceeds from ALL menu items supports Ronald McDonald House Toronto! Order at McDonald’s restaurants, via the drive-thru, or on the McDonald’s app. Also enjoy $0 delivery fee* on all McDelivery orders, when you order through the McDonald’s app, DoorDash, SkipTheDishes or UberEats.

Round Up Your Order

On McHappy Day, and every day, you can Round Up at McDonald’s. Available in the Drive-Thru, kiosk and front counter. When you Round Up your order total to the nearest dollar, 100% of the difference supports families with sick and injured children across our communities.

Treat Yourself

Leading up to, and on, McHappy Day, you can buy a pair of McHappy Day socks for $6 (plus tax) at participating McDonald’s restaurants and through the McDonald’s app to support families with seriously ill children. While supplies last.

Make A Donation

Leading up to, and on McHappy Day, McDonald’s guests can make a $2, $5, or $10 donation in–restaurant and receive a McHappy Day paper heart to show support for families with seriously ill children in their community.
