As a volunteer, you are a key member of the Ronald McDonald House Toronto team. To ensure we’re providing the best possible experience for our volunteers, we follow The Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement.

- Attendance at a hospital orientation
- Completed MMR and 2-Step TB Test within the last 6 months

Current Opportunities
Do you love baking and want to use your skills to bring comfort and joy to families? Join us as a Bakers and Shakers Volunteer , where you’ll create delicious baked treats that offer warmth, nourishment, and a moment of normalcy for families staying at the House. This role provides a meaningful way to support caregivers and children by offering homemade snacks that brighten their day. As part of our Activity Programs, Bakers and Shakers helps foster a sense of home, community, and care — one cookie, muffin, or loaf at a time.
Commitment: Weekly shift for a minimum of 6 months
Shift Options:
Tuesdays – Morning (9:30am-12:00pm)
Thursdays – Morning (9:30am-12:00pm)

Ronald McDonald House Toronto does offer student placements, but not through Volunteer Engagement. For more information about student placements, send your information to info@ronaldmcdonaldhousetoronto.ca. Please indicate in the subject line what your email pertains to.
We would never think of placing you in a role without training! We provide orientation and training for all our volunteers regardless of the position they apply to.
Our goal is to have you volunteering within three weeks from the time you first apply. However, this also depends whether we have positions available that suit your application.
You must be 18 years or older to volunteer at the House or in our Family Rooms.
